- Enjoy the scenic drive in the Hajar Mountains.
- Hike the Grand Canyon of Oman.
- Visit interesting Forts and learn about history and culture.
In this 4 days road trip, you will explore all the best that the Hajar Mountains range has to offer. You will hike in the Grand Canyon of Oman and in the green mountain. You will enjoy a much fresher climate than in the rest of the country. And you will visit some of the best forts in the country for amazing views, history and local culture.
It is definitely much better to have a 4 wheels drive car to do this road trip. Always have a lot of water and food with you as you won't find many options on the way sometimes. Best place for supplies are gas stations usually. Also plan clothing accordingly, sunscreen and hat for the strong sun but also cold weather with wind at night. Wear good hiking shoes. Enjoy the drive.

Jebel Akhdar the Green Mountain
Jebel Akhdar means green mountain in Arabic. This part of the mountains are about 2000 meters above sea level and it can be quite cold in the winter and temperatures can even drop below 0 degrees Celsius. With cooler temperatures and greater rainfall, you will see more greenery here than in the other mountains, that is why it is called the green mountain of Oman.
