This place is called Diana's viewpoint because Princess Diana of Wales visited Oman in 1986 and loved this location. Since then, it is named in honor of her and tourists love to come to this viewpoint. Obviously the view is amazing from there.

This hike numbered w18b is also called the village trail and is about 4 kilometers long. It will take you along the villages of Jebel Akhdar on a centuries old pathway that always linked the villages. It goes from the village of Al Aqor to Seek and you can even go until the village of Wadi Bani Habib but it is far and you will need a lot more time, water and food for this.
Even for the 4 kilometers, you should take plenty of water and some snacks. You will get very nice views of the surroundings mountains, the valley, the vegetation terraces and the villages. In the village of Seeq, there is a rose water distillery, it is interesting to visit when it is production time in Spring. It is also the best time for the hike as you will see many rose blooms.

This is a very nice viewpoint on the hike, make sure you stop here to take photos.

This is a nice village to check out on the hiking trek. And then you can go back to the starting point and take your car to Wadi Bani Habib old village or you can walk until there if you have more time and started earlier.

If you feel very fit and start earlier and want to do a big hike, you can plan to come until here walking. But then you should plan more time and to bring your food with you. Otherwise you can drive until here to check out the old village.

You can have dinner in this restaurant before getting back to Muscat.
