First let's take a look at Lazhginskiy waterfall. After the waterfall we will have just a ten-minute drive to the next object. On the slope above the village of Olgeti there is a tower complex of Erzi castle type in perfect safety. We'll continue on our way. Nearby, in the lowland, there is the leftover village of Harp from the 16th century. After that we go to the asphalt and the winding Georgian military road we return to Vladikavkaz.

In the cool gorge among the rock formations there is a small but very beautiful gorge - Lazhginskoe. In it flows a small river Lazhga, taking its waters from the glacier of Mount Malchechkort. At the difference of rock faults and created a waterfall, which is one of the largest in Ingushetia, with a height of 20 m and a width of 5 m. The waterfall requires a short walk along the eco-trail, for about 30 minutes each way, with a small height gain and the subsequent descent on the way back. If you do not want an active walk, we recommend you to relax in the gazebo and enjoy the clean air.

On a slope above the village of Olgeti, a tower complex of the Erzi castle type, translated from Ingush "eagle", stands in perfect safety. According to a legend, people found a nest of an eagle at the place where the village was founded, from which the name later came. About 6 full-fledged towers and a dozen half-destroyed ones have survived to this day.

At the foot of Myat-Loam mountain (Table 3,000 m) visit the tract of Beini village. Although the village is dilapidated, its views are spectacular. The sunny southern side of the Table Mountain slope has turned these lands into bright meadows. "Beini" translates to "meadow." From early spring this slope is wrapped in a green carpet with streams of spring water. Nature herself has created here a favorable climate for cattle breeding and animal husbandry. There is another side of the coin, more precisely the history of the name. According to an old legend, the village was once called "weeds" and it was inhabited by a bandit "tribe of witches". The insidious inhabitants robbed and attacked everyone. There is a good outcome to this story where good triumphs over evil. You will learn the whole story on the spot.
Off we go. Near-by in the lowland is hidden the abandoned village of Kharp in the 16th century. Not exactly hidden, of course, as it is well exposed by an unusual view from Baney. Despite its location in a valley, the village is built as a continuation of a thin isthmus, with slopes on both sides and a cliff near the central tower. It resembles a small rock fortress. There are also legends lurking within the walls of these structures.
Here, at the foot of the mountain, it is possible to stop for a picnic in the fresh air. If the weather is favourable, the most active can have a trekking hike up the Table Mountain (3000 m), a climb of about 1000-1100 m, where unparalleled views can be seen and an ancient sanctuary is preserved. We recommend that you take trekking poles and comfortable shoes which are necessary for hiking in the mountainous part of the republic. Down the slope, on the bank of the river, you may still see partially preserved Dudarov's manor house of the 17th century. There was one defensive tower and one dwelling tower, which were connected with each other by a stone wall. It is a rare example of a similar construction where the combat tower was not in the village but just next to the dwelling one. It was made for maximum protection. The legend of the founder, no less interesting, lurks here.
