Salgi is a medieval tower complex, located in Salgi gorge of the same name. By nature, these places look more like an alpine valley. The name of the village means "place for rest". In the place of the village, which was left for a long time, you will see two preserved five-storey (about 20 m high) combat towers of the 16th-17th centuries and a dozen ruins of houses, farm buildings and defensive walls. On the outskirts of the village there are also the remains of the crypts of the City of the Dead. According to a legend, the hero of Ingush tales, the hero Soska-Salse, in whose honour a church sanctuary was built, was honoured here as a saint and, unfortunately, is now lost.

Lyalakh is one of the major castle-type tower settlements. The village had three combat towers and more than twenty dwelling towers, almost all five stories high up to 26 metres. The combat towers on the ground floors contained stone "sacks", which served as compartments for supplies and prisoners. According to the scientist D. Chahkiev, "these towers differ in their proportions, appearance and novelty from similar structures of the region". According to a legend, a builder and architect Arsamak once lived in the village. Combat towers and masses of dwelling towers with architectural elements and household remainders have been preserved in excellent condition to this day.
