Al Ain Oasis
Al Ain Oasis is one of the highlights of visiting Al Ain. It is Unesco World Heritage Site and the first one to be nominated as such in the UAE. It is irrigated with traditional falaj which is an ancient irrigation system. It gives water to 147.000 date palms and fruit trees and a land of 1200 hectares. Al Ain Palace Museum
Al Ain Palace Museum has been nicely restored and offers a beautiful site amongst date palms and cacti. It is a pleasure to wander around. Inside, you can visit the reception room where Sheikh Zayed, the founder of the UAE received guests. It was his residence from 1937 to 1966. You can even see his Land Rover that he used to go in the desert.

Al Jahili Fort
Al Jahili Fort is an historic building located in a beautiful park where it is very nice to walk around. It was built in the 1890s by Sheikh Zayed the first and has been renovated by the department of culture and tourism. You can visit inside, it houses a permanent exhibit about Sir Wilfried Thesiger, an explorer, photographer and travel writer who explored the Empty Quarter, the world's largest sand mass.
