Exploring Beautiful Places in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

The Fossil dunes in Abu Dhabi are an incredible site to visit. These dunes are rocks created and shaped by the wind. It is very original and its location in the middle of the desert makes it even more mesmerizing. Walk around the different places, and take great photos.

This is another incredible natural site in Al Whatba in the middle of the desert. It is a salt lake which makes white salt formations that are really photogenic. You can walk around but you can also dip in and have a bath in the salt lake. The color of the water is also amazing and clear and should make great photos.

Have lunch in the town of Al Wathba. You can have typical local food here. There might not be many places to eat after this and before Al Ain so make sure, you grab some food in that area.

This is another salt lake on the way to Al Ain, next to the main road. So you can also stop here to check it out. It is smaller than the previous one but the natural wonders are still impressive.

Qasr AlMuwaiji is the birthplace of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayhan the president of the UAE until his recent death in May 2022. You can explore his childhood home. You will visit some exhibits about him and his father Sheikh Zayed and learn about the history of the UAE. The museum is housed in a restored fort with mud brick walls.

Here you can park your car and check in at your hotel. Have dinner at Tanjore restaurant which is located inside the Danat Al Ain resort. This is a great Indian restaurant where the specialty is Tandoori cooked in clay oven. There are many delicious vegetarian options.

If you want to have a drink after dinner. This is a great place to go. It is an Irish Pub also located inside the Danat Al Ain Resort. It is probably the most fun place to hang out in Al Ain and if you like sport, you can catch your favorite game on the big screen. They also have theme nights with live music sometimes.

Spend the night at this great resort with view on the mountain of Jebel Hafeet. There are also great pools including one with slides for children and one for swimming laps.
