    • Heal your worries and ailments in the magical Pozar Baths.
    • Feel the sheer power fo nature at Edessa Waterfalls.
    • Swim and relax at the pools beneath Skra Waterfalls.
Thessaloniki is located near the middle of Greece, which means many great natural sights surround it. Away from the beaches to the south, the north is filled with mountain beauty, full of waterfalls and natural thermal spas. This route takes you to the best swim spots near Thessaloniki, beginning with a trip to Pozar Baths - the natural thermal springs located in northwest Greece. You can soak u pthe healing powers of the bath before lunch and then move south towards Edessa Waterfalls.
Edessa Waterfalls are one of Greece's most famous natural sights - featuring super powerful water streams flowing down different levels of rock. You'll spend the night in Edessa after exploring more of the region and then begin your journey up to Skra on day two. On your way, you'll experience a unique monastery and dive into some WWI history. Skra waterfalls offer a relaxing experience - I loved finishing my route here as I got to take things a bit slower and swim in the water to rejuvenate between pages of my book.
The way back to Thessaloniki stops at two more wonderful sights before indulging in a delicious dinner. Bring your bathers, a good book and a body ready to be soothed!

Diverse Day 2: Monasteries, WW1 Hisotry, Waterfalls, Lakes and Bridges!

Day two is spent exploring some beautiful sites, learning about history and swimming among stunning waterfalls. You'll start with a coffee to break up the drive before heading to an impressive monastery in a gorgeous environment. Once you get to Skra, the route takes you to a WW1 museum where you'll learn about the Battle of Skra, which I found very thrilling while in the town itself. After lunch, it's time to soak up the serenity of the marvellous Skra Waterfalls, with lovely little pools to swim in. On your way back to Thessaloniki, you'll gaze out over a quaint lake and discover a rickety-old bridge before dinner.
