Visiting Spectacular Villas

You can walk to villa Olmo from your hotel, the walk on the lakeside is absolutely beautiful and pleasant, especially when it is sunny. But you can also go by car of course, there is a parking lot there.
The gardens and the monumental fountain are the best parts here. But you can also visit inside and see some nice rooms with paintings and furniture.

Cernobbio is a nice little village by the lake, it also has amazing villas but for private events or guided tours in groups, etc. Though it is very pleasant to walk around its historical center and lakeside.

You can park your car here to go to the villa del Balbianello on foot through the park with great lake views.

The villa del Balbianello is the most impressive, most beautiful and most famous villa around Lake Como and for good reasons. It actually also became famous recently because it was here that some scenes of James Bond Casino Royale and Star Wars were filmed. Walking around the gardens give incredible views.
The last owner Guido Manzino was an explorer and he brought back with him art and objects from around the world, he also did expeditions in the highest peaks of the World. So you can discover all that and a documentary of his expeditions while you visit the villa.
If you have time, you can walk around the park outside the villa and explore the village of Lenno where the villa is located.

Villa Carlotta is another amazing villa by the lake that you can visit. It is located in the village of Tremezzo. The 8 hectare botanic gardens are worth the visit just for themselves. They are filled with colorful flowers and lush greenery. You will get incredible views of the lake from the gardens.
But the villa from the 17th century is also worth the visit inside with beautiful furniture, great paintings and sculptures, essentially from the famous sculptor Canova.

Menaggio is a another nice colorful little village on the western shore of Lake Como. You can walk around the port and the historical center with beautiful views before having dinner.

Have a nice dinner at this restaurant with good reputation before driving back to Como.
