Polenov Paintings and Polenovo Estate

A chain of coffee shops in the best tradition. We chose the one near the central park of culture. Great coffee and delicious breakfasts in the open air.

Quite an impressive collection of paintings by famous artists. There are also works by Polenov, who we went to visit today.

When we entered the grounds, it felt as if we had arrived at some ancient villa in Greece. Or was it the heat? No, it really does have a Mediterranean feel to it. The smell of conifers, too.
In addition to tasks, which are scattered around the territory, there are interesting and ordinary paths in the woods, where you can walk at least all day. For beach lovers, there's space by the river (don't go to the main one - it's crowded, go a bit further).
After the museum of reserve be sure to look at the courtyard of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity, there is an observation deck on the expanse around the Oka. You can walk there, but if it's hot, you can take a car.
