Explore mainland Denmark and hit the Golden Dunes

The second Viking Museum that you will be visiting is located at Ladby and is an interactive museum. This is a great place to learn about Viking life through practice. There is archery, bread baking, whittling, and more. Although the museum is small, you can really learn a lot from the staff here as they are really passionate about teaching visitors about the Viking way of life.

Head into Odense, which is the largest city on the island of Funen and the third largest in Denmark. Here you can explore some of the ancient buildings and enjoy lunch.

Wander around the town and explore the Amfipladsen. This is especially pretty during the winter months as you will see all the Christmas lights and market stands. Odense has multiple plazas but this one is especially picturesque.

You will enjoy lunch at Brød, a traditional Danish bread studio. Here you can try local specialities as well as new fusions that passionate bread makers are experimenting with.

St. Canute's Cathedral is a Gothic-style cathedral in the center of Odense and is a popular monument to see. It was constructed in the 11th century and was named after a Danish King.

Although this is not quite as impressive as the Great Belt Bridge, the Little Belt Bridge still gives you amazing views of Denmark whilst crossing. It isn't possible to stop on the bridge itself, so I'd recommend stopping after if you want to take some photos. There is also a tool booth for this bridge.

After having crossed the New Little Belt Bridge, stop at this quaint beach to take some photos of the bridge and enjoy a stretch break along the rugged beach front.

After a long day of driving, check in to your cute cabin and freshen up before heading out for dinner. This little cabin has lots of character and is located just outside of Esbjerg.

Spend the evening unwinding at the Streetfood centre of Esbjerg. Here you will find a great selection of food from various vendors. There is also a beer garden which is a social place to hang out. This is the perfect place for trying something different and meeting some locals.

Return to your cabin for a good night's rest, before continuing the adventure tomorrow. You can wander through the city to get a different perspective with the lit-up buildings on your way to the car.
