The museum is located in a building built back in 1835 under Nicholas I. Expositions are deployed in 7 halls, here you will be told about the architectural complex of the mid-nineteenth century, created by the Russian architect N. Benois, which includes: Training building (1855), the Imperial hunting palace (1860), the Temple of origin of the honest woods of the life-giving cross of the Lord (1862).
The museum works according to the timetable of the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Lisinskiy Lesnoy College". On an excursion it is possible to sign up in advance on official site.

Nikolai Alekseyevich Nekrasov acquired this estate in 1871 and for 5 years he went there for summer vacations away from the town fuss - to hunt and to rest. Here Nekrasov worked a lot. "Fire", "Morning", "Despondency", "Grief of old Naum", "Terrible Year", "Prophet" - all these works were written by him in Chudovo.
It is worth visiting the museum with a tour and admire the interior decoration of the estate. Also next to the house-museum there is an exhibition "Nekrasov and the Novgorod region", and the classroom of the XIX century is reconstructed.
