    The first stop on your itinerary is Wells Cathedral, which was constructed way back in 1175. It is because of this cathedral that Wells has had city status since medieval times, even though in modern times its population is just 12,000.
    Wells Cathedral is a Grade I listed building, making it one of the most important buildings in the country. It's open 7 days a week and free to visit, but donations are welcomed. Alternatively, you can book a guided tour on the Wells Cathedral website.

    Magna Carta Chapter House

    Your ticket to Salisbury Cathedral includes entry to the Magna Carta Chapter House. Here you'll find one of the four surviving copies of the Magna Carta; a royal charter of rights written in 1215 that expressed the idea that the King was not above the law.     Arundells
