- Walk over the hanging bridges in the Turia river canyon.
- Stroll along the Water Route in Chelva.
- Contemplate the beauty of the villages located at the top of the mountain range.
This route discovers two mountain villages, Chelva and Chulilla, dotted along the course of the rivers Turia and Tuejar.
The main attraction of both destinations are two trekking routes designed to be done even with children, as their physical difficulty is low.
The hanging bridges route in Chulilla runs through a deep canyon and the water route in Chelva runs along waterfalls, springs, and the banks of the river Tuejar, both surrounded by the hills.
Outside these two villages, there are other historical places to stop: a Roman aqueduct near the town of Calles and the historical centre of Lliria which intermingles the different cultures that inhabited these lands.

Chulilla and the Hanging Bridges Route
Here the river Turia meanders between high rock walls, forming a canyon of great beauty.
Chulilla is an attractive destination for those in search of nature and easy trekking routes, even for the whole family. The suspension bridges over the river, originally built to allow workers to reach the reservoir under construction, give it a special characteristic.
But this is not the only thing to see here. The enclave of Chulilla on top of one of the rocky walls of the canyon allows you to walk through the entrails of the village and climb up to the remains of the castle. This place has been prized by different civilisations and was at the centre of wars.

Chelva: Trekking Along the Water Route, Viewpoints and Springs.
The second day of the route takes us to the village of Chelva, a place where the Arabs left their mark. The Water Route is its main attraction, a circular route that combines history and nature along the banks of the river Chelva.
On the way back to Valencia, there are three more stops. The first one is the Roman aqueduct in the middle of the mountains, a natural site on the banks of the river Turia and the village of Lliria with Iberian, Roman and medieval remains.
