    Puertas de Tierra

A big wall separates the modern Cádiz from the historical part. It is a famous part of the city because it was here that the troops of Napoleon couldn't go any further. You see two sculptures, they represent the San Servando and San Germán patron saints of the city. The fountain in the middle is pretty to see, but at night it's even prettier because then it lits in different colours. The fountain is the place where the city is celebrated, for example when the local soccer team wins a grand prize. To give you a little idea of how popular the local soccer team is, watch this youtube video

    Iglesia de Santiago Apóstol

This beautiful building is not only a nicely decorated church but also the start of the famous pilgrim route Camíno de Santiago. Inside you will see a lot of carved wood. The most impressive part is the main altarpiece of the temple, which was made between 1651 and 1653.

    Parking Telegrafía | iPark

Park your car. There are two things you can do from here. The first is to go straight to the restaurant where you can have your dinner. The other one is to enjoy some time on the beach, which I recommend. Playa de la Victoria is a wide beach where there is plenty of space for everyone. The sand is soft and the sunsets are spectacular. There are many places where you can get a drink. So why not take some time to dig your feet in the sand and chill out for a while?

    Restaurante La Vendimia en Cádiz

When you are ready to eat it's just a small walk to restaurante La Vendimia. Sometimes it is hard to find a place with authentic Spanish dishes in a tourist place but this is one. You can try typical Spanish dishes here, for normal prices. The view is great and the staff is very friendly. The perfect place to spend the rest of your evening. Your hotel is within walking distance, so you can have a drink if you want.
Beware the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
