Wonderful Wines and Famous Flamenco
Also known as the sherry capital of the world, Jerez de la Frontera is a great place to spend your first day. Bodegas Fundador
The word ‘sherry’ comes from Jerez. When you drive around, you will see a lot of bodegas’s in this region. Sherry is a kind of wine, that is made stronger. How? That is kind of a mystery. A solera system is being used for ripping in the famous wine barrels. At Bodega fundador, maybe you can unravel the mystery. And of course, after your tour, you can have a taste. Palacio del Virrey Laserna
This neoclassic palace is a real stunner, filled with chandeliers, marble and all that luxury palace stuff we love. This palace was built on top of the foundation of an Arab castle and is named after José de la Serna y Martínez de Hinojosa. Who? He was the first Count of the Andes and the last Viceroy of Peru and he was born here in 1770.
