Laaaaast Christmas! Wham and a mountain adventure in Saas-Almagell.
I bet you have already noticed there are about a million cool spots to explore in the Saas-Valley. This part of Switzerland is not only good for skiïng but also for summer activities. And active you will get today because you will walk the 'erlebnisweg' today. Which translates as 'adventure trail'. And if there is one thing we like when we are road-tripping, it is seeking new adventures! Before you go, check the weather. The trail can be very slippery so better don't go when it is raining. Also, it is important to wear suitable footwear. You are in the mountains, don't underestimate a walk, even if it is a touristy one.

Erlebnisweg Saas-Almagell
Want to get over your fear of heights? This is the way to do it! A steep small path over the rocky ground will take you to the first suspension bridge of this adventurous trail. You can choose to leave it at that, or walk the path more until you find the second suspension bridge. Walking the whole path will take you about 1.5 hours. Here you can find more interesting info about the Erlebnisweg.

Bergrestaurant Furggstalden
Lunch! And when in Switzerland, you have to choose for cheese fondue here. It is great! Not into cheese? There is pizza too! (but I guess that involves cheese as well). You can always ask the staff for recommendations, they are very nice.

Parkhaus Saas-Fee
Park your car here. Saas-Fee is a car-free town. Which is great when you want to go shopping here.
It also means that you need to look for other transport. Thankfully, there are electric car taxis available.
Unlike the famous clip, you don't need to board a cable car to reach the renowned chalet; so be prepared for a short uphill walk, but the stunning views make it worthwhile.

Chalet Schliechten
What a walk! How is your heartbeat? Your heart probably skipped a beat or two on the bridge am I right? You know what helps? Singing! So sing with me: "laaaaast Christmas I gave you my heaaaart" come on, don't be shy.
It's hard to not like Wham's Christmas song. Did you know George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley recorded the video clip here in Saas-fee? Let's check out the chalet (which has a different colour now).

Felskinnbahn
After walking to the chalet, return to the resort centre to climb the mountain on the same cable car as George Michael once took. Although, the cart that you are in now is a bit newer. Enjoy the exhilarating views of the Rocky Mountains!
Upon reaching the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps, including the Allalinhorn and Dommihorn mountains. In summer, Saas-Fee offers spectacular hiking and trekking trails through picturesque alpine landscapes. In winter, you can enjoy excellent skiing or explore the enchanting ice cave.
Then, take a ride back down the mountain. And take a taxi to the parking lot.
