Antique frescoes, a Mason's house and much more!

The morning will start with a walk in the Mirožsky dendrological park. Walk along the winding paths, enjoy the fresh air and feed the ducks in the pond.

Then go and explore the Transfiguration Cathedral of Mirozhsky monastery. On its walls, you can see ancient frescos, performed by Greek masters. The exterior of the cathedral is preserved in the form similar to the original, only a little bit changed form and appeared the onion dome.

The main building of the Museum-Reserve is open every day. Visiting it, you can learn more about the history of the Pskov region from antiquity to the period of the Great Patriotic War.

If when you say "Freemason House" you have already imagined a sinister structure with encrypted symbols in bas-reliefs and the "all-seeing eye" over the entrance, it's only your illusions.
Mason was nicknamed "Mason" by a member of the Archaeological Society, Ludwig Mason, who owned the house.
Nowadays the Pskov museum repository is situated in the ancient building. The interior of the repository is being reconstructed and the date of its opening is still unknown. But maybe by your visit its doors will be open and you will be able not only to examine the building from the outside, but also to see the collections of jewelry and porcelain.

The fortress wall, old tall trees, A.S. Pushkin with the nurse and the children's playground with carousels - this is the atmosphere of the city park of culture and leisure.

The Peter's Tower is part of the eastern fortification, which protected the city from Polish attacks. It was not always this small: today, only a half-height fragment of its original size is hidden under the roof.

The Mojo gastrobar is easy to spot by its bright blue door, which, by the way, makes for very atmospheric Instagram photos.

Make a short stop halfway through to see the Catholic Church of St Nicholas. The building was built in the Neo-Gothic style, which can be easily guessed from the pointed shape of the windows and turrets.

After a short but so fulfilling adventure, treat yourself to a sumptuous dinner in a restaurant that's set in a real castle.
