Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Arrive to this stunning sanctuary before they stop serving lunch! Be aware that Arizona does not practice Daylight Savings and Utah does, so you may experience an hour shift as you cross state lines. From 11:30am-1pm every day, Angel Village Cafe at Best Friends serves a vegan lunch of a main dish, two side dishes, fruit, a salad and dessert for only $5 (yes, $5). After your quick bite to eat, check out the incredible grounds of the nation's largest animal rescue sanctuary. To learn more about the shelter and work they do visit Best Friends.

Zion Canyon Visitor Center
Zion's Visitor Center is nestled in a gorgeous valley of tree-adorned red rock. Here you can learn about the park and plan whether you want to take a short hike, scenic drive, or both. Be aware that shuttle reservations are not currently required, but it is recommended that you confirm that here before planning you trip, as seasonal changes do occur.

Zion scenic drive viewpoint 2
Whether from the shuttle or your own vehicle, this viewpoint is one of the most stunning in all the park. After a series of switchbacks you are offered panoramic, creekside vistas. If driving yourself, the pull off is small and sometimes crowded; exercise caution as always on these busy park roads.

Flanigan`s Inn
It wouldn't feel right to stay at some overly stuffy hotel while in such a beautiful natural space. Opt for Flanigan's Inn, a stone and wood adorned Inn that feels almost to grow out of the landscape itself. This is cozy comfort and truly great service. Rest up before heading farther north in Utah.
