"Damn Hillfort", Goncharov Manor and Nikola Lenivets.

One of the most unusual places in the Kaluga region, the eco-trail "Devil's Hillfort", is located in the national park "Ugra". That's why you should follow the route when visiting it, it's forbidden to build fires. Here you will find unique nature, mysterious forest, mossy stones, special atmosphere. These places are wrapped in many legends. The main attraction is an archaeological monument. An ancient settlement with a rampart and moat, which can still be seen in the relief of quartz sandstones. We advise you to prepare in advance and put on comfortable shoes.

The manor house was built in 1730s under the great-grandfather Natalia Goncharova Afanasia Goncharova. On the territory of the estate there was a house of Goncharovs, ponds, a greenhouse, an equestrian yard, a church and buildings of paper and sailing mills. The paper and plaster factory was created here by decree of Peter the Great. The main manor house was rebuilt several times and was one of the richest in decoration. During the War of 1812, the estate had the headquarters of Kutuzov. In October 1941 it was occupied by German troops, and it was almost completely destroyed by fire. In 1970s the manor was restored. In 1999 the manor house was opened as a museum. A.S. Pushkin was at his wife's estate only a couple of times. But in the museum's collection there are many exhibits related to him. Sanitary day is the last Wednesday of each month.

Nikola Lenivets Art Park is an amazing place with beautiful nature and unusual architecture. It is the only park in Russia with landscape installations.
It's nice here both in winter and summer. The bank of the Ugra River offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Interactive art objects are organically embedded in nature.
Part of the territory of Nikola-Lenivets belongs to the "Ugra" Biosphere Reserve.
In fact, you can spend much more time here, not even a single one walking through the vast territory of the park. But even in three hours it is possible to see some amazing installations.
