Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption
The current cathedral was built by the Jesuits during the seventeenth century and dedicated to their founder Ignatius of Loyola. Begun in 1610 it was completed only in 1744 with the construction of the facade. With the suppression of the company of Jesus in 1767 the church was abandoned , until in 1785, duly restored and enlarged, it was erected as a new diocesan cathedral, in place of the ancient church. On this occasion the relics of the patron saint of the city, St. Conrad of Bavaria, were transferred

Duomo Vecchio di San Corrado
The church of San Corrado is a Catholic place of worship in Molfetta, in the metropolitan city of Bari, located on the edge of the old town of the city, facing the port. Until 1785 it was the cathedral of the diocese of Molfetta.
It is considered the symbol of the city of Molfetta. The church was built between 1150 and the end of the thirteenth century and dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta; until 1671 it was the seat of the only parish of Molfetta.
Ancient cathedral of the diocese of Molfetta, in 1785 the chair was moved to the church of the Jesuit college together with the dedication. The former cathedral then took the name of San Corrado, patron saint of Molfetta. The church of San Corrado is a singular example of Romanesque-Apulian architecture.
It is in fact the largest of the Romanesque churches with the central nave covered with domes in axis (three, in this specific case) set on a hexagonal drum, compared to the others (including the four Palatine Basilicas) having a roof of the type with trusses and tiles superimposed.

Giovinazzo
Giovinazzo is rich in art and history dating back to the Bronze Age. The first nucleus of the current city was founded by the Peuceti under the name of Netium.
Destroyed by Hannibal during the Punic wars, it was subsequently named Iuvenis Netium, hence the current name Giovinazzo.Arriving in the center of Giovinazzo, you reach Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, which overlooks the Palazzo del Marquis di Rende, in neoclassical style with a Doric colonnade.
On the same square there is also the church of S. Domenico. This with an adjoining Dominican convent is a neoclassical style structure which houses eighteenth-century paintings by local painters, there is also a work by Lorenzo Lotto.A few steps from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, there is the arch of Traino, one of the gates of the old city.
Beyond the door, upon entering the ancient village, you will find the sixteenth-century church of the Madonna di Costantinopoli and from here, taking via Cattedrale, you reach the Cathedral. Built in the 12th century, it retains very little of the original Romanesque style. It was heavily remodeled during the 18th century. The interior has also undergone significant changes over the centuries, it has three naves. The canvases and tables preserved inside are very interesting.
