Kachkanar Mountain and return journey

On this day it is necessary to wake up early in order to have time to ascend Kachkanar Mountain and go back to Perm.
The ascent to the mountain is now possible only from the side of Kosya settlement. The access from the city side is blocked by the Kachkanar mining and processing plant, which started digging a new quarry not far from the peak in 2020.
In Kosya, at the end of Gornaya Street, there is a guest house built for the Buddhist monastery Shedrub-Ling, which is located on the mountain. There is a place near it where you can leave your car.
The monastery is built almost on top of the mountain. Behind it, there are many rock outcroppings of the most bizarre shapes. The most famous of them, Camel Rock, is named after its resemblance to an animal.
Approximately 200 meters away from Camel Rock is the top of the mountain. There is a low rock on it, from which there is a fine view of the monastery.
When climbing, it is important to consider the weather conditions - if it has rained or is raining, the trail to the Temple will be wet, with many underground streams, so it is necessary to choose appropriate footwear.

From Mount Kachkanar, as yesterday, it is better to drive through the village of Is.

Two steles are installed here: "Sverdlovsk Oblast" and "Perm Krai". It is worth taking pictures of at least one of them.

Not far from Chusovoye there is a good roadside cafe "Ermak". Here you can have a hearty snack and have a little rest from the road. Just about halfway home.

There's a gas station ahead! It will be possible to make a comfortable stop, resupply fuel and drink coffee.
