From Europe to Asia

In the morning, many cafes and restaurants are still closed in Gubaha. Café "Plov Love" is open from 9 o'clock and is located very close to the road to Stone Town.

Stone City is located near the road to Shumikhinsky village. The place where the trail to it starts is easily found by cars standing on the edge of the road.
The Stone Town is located on the top of one of the mountains of the Rudyan Spoy Ridge and represents a lot of rocky remains.
The natural monument is remarkable because the rocks have flat "walls" and approximately the same height.

After the Stone City we go to the Usva Pillars.
These are the rocks on the right bank of the river Usva. A trail from the village of the same name leads to them. It starts from the railway bridge above the river.
There's a place near the bridge where you can leave your car. From here it's about 4 km to the rocks.

We've traveled halfway to our current goal, Kachkanar. It's time for lunch.
There are several roadside cafes near Gornozavodsk. But it's better to drive into town, it's small, and to eat in the centre in the cafe "Iskra".

This is one of the biggest obelisks on the border of Europe and Asia, its height - 16 meters, looks impressive! It is located 9 km from the village of Promyshl.

Ahead of the Gazpromneft filling station. A good reason to make a stop: refuel with quality fuel, drink coffee and just warm up.

Dinner tonight will be at one of the best cafes of Kachkanar "Grenade". It perfectly cooks Georgian and Armenian cuisine.

There are no cafes or restaurants near the hotel where we will spend the night, and at the foot of the mountain Kachkanar, so we will need to buy groceries for breakfast and snacks at the top of the mountain.

The trail to Mount Kachkanar starts from the village of Kosya. Go to it via the village of Is.
From the town of Kachkanar, there is a shorter road, which your navigator can show you. But it's a forest road, and it's passable for cars only in summer.

Overnight stay close to the mountain to spend less time the next day on the road to it, and to have time to visit as many interesting places as possible on the way home.
