The Village of Albarracín, a Return to the Middle Ages

Albarracín is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and there is no doubt about it. It grabs you as soon as you set foot in this medieval village.
Its perfectly preserved wall that runs several metres over the mountain and the reddish colour of its buildings give it that particular glow. In short, every corner is worth admiring.
The last day of the route is dedicated almost entirely to this village, which will surely remain forever in your memory.

On the way to Albarracín there is an obligatory stop at the Roman aqueduct, one of the most impressive in Spain. It is 25 kilometres long and was carved out of the rock and carried water to the ancient city of Cella.
It is possible to visit different sections, one of the most spectacular of which is the Barranco de los Burros. Here the aqueduct runs through tunnels excavated in the mountain and then follows an open-air channel.
From the main road, turn off at the signpost and park your car after about 200 metres. From the car park, it is a fifteen-minute walk to the aqueduct.
