Genre sculpture Frolovo

You can leave your car at the free parking lot near the bus station and explore the genre sculpture of Frolovo.

One of the key monuments of Frolovo! The chapel is also called a monument to all who died in the twentieth century. It is located in the central square of the city, which in itself is worthy of your attention and time for a walk after a long road.

The church was built at the end of XVIII century. Nowadays, only the three-tiered bell tower made of ceramic bricks survived. The church was big and had three altars. In the middle of the XIX century the Empress Elizabeth presented the church with a silver ladle and 14 bells. In the summer of 1937 they were removed, and in April 1942 the church was blown up. By a miracle the bell tower survived. There was a warehouse on the place of the outbuildings later. Lightning burned down the surviving head of the bell tower in the 90s, the foundation of the church was covered with sand.
