German village, brewery, life and traditions of 19th century Siberia

In the village of Azovo there is a private brewery where lemonades, kvass and beer are made. When producing the latter, the brewers strictly adhere to the recipe of 1742: only water, malt, yeast and hops. According to the majority, the beer from this brewery is the most delicious in the whole Omsk region. Take a couple of bottles with you to taste the hoppy beverage during an evening break.
The brewery is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Volga Germans settled in this region in 1893 - here they voluntarily began to develop the land, to trade, to set up a household. You can learn about the life of the settlers at the local history museum in the village Aleksandrovka.
The museum welcomes individual travellers on working days from 10:00 till 17:00 (a lunch break from 13:00 till 15:00). On weekends organized groups of tourists come here.
If you have some free time after visiting the museum, you can take a walk around Alexandrovka. You can visit the picturesque lake Koshkol and find the ruins of the old wooden mill. If you're lucky, you can visit the festival of German culture which is held here quite regularly. Follow the poster in the official group.

In the bakery "Deutsche Backerai" in Aleksandrovka you can buy traditional German sweets, fresh bread, gingerbread, cakes with all kinds of fillings and much more. The enterprise is equipped with modern German equipment and the products are supplied from its own farmland: wheat, barley and soybeans are sown in the vicinity, a large dairy farm and a meat processing plant are operating nearby.
The shop is open daily, except Sundays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For lunch stop by the village of Sherbakul. The cafe "Staryi Zamok" is open every day, except Sunday, from 9 am till 6 pm (on Friday and Saturday till 2 am). As a last resort you can make a mini-picnic on the Sherbakul lake: there's plenty of parking places.

In the afternoon go to the Sherbakul Museum of History and Local Lore. Here you can find interesting household items of the past centuries: clothes, embroidered linen, forged articles, furniture and many other things. There are also tsarist coins with Empress Elizabeth's monograms and a good collection of paintings.
The museum is open from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 6.15 pm and closes on Friday at 5 pm. The break is from 12.30 to 14.00. Saturday-Sunday are days off.
If you do not go to the museum, do not deny yourself the pleasure to walk around the village with 130 years of history. Look at the main square with three monuments, relax on the shore of the lake - the village is small, but very pretty!

Buy groceries for your upcoming dinner outdoors. This can be done in one of the two supermarkets in Sherbakul.

Amrinskaya Balka is a small freshwater reservoir where you can swim and camp. You can get there for free, but there's no tourist infrastructure yet. So you have to take everything for overnight stay with you. Nevertheless, this place is very popular with the locals, who come to the lakeside for fishing and recreation in good weather.
