Ural Mountains, abandoned church and historic city center

On the way to the rocks in the village of Galkinskoye you will see a beautiful abandoned Church of the Bogolyubskaya Icon of the Mother of God. Its construction began back in 1800 on the site of a former dilapidated wooden church, but soon errors in of the design, and the walls began to crack violently. The church was not completed until 1842, and was consecrated seven years later. In 1987, it was included in the list of monuments of regional importance, but is now abandoned and not restored.
It is dangerous to climb up, so it is better to limit the external inspection of the church.

Leave the car and go over the suspension bridge over the Pyshma River to the other side.

A picturesque rock with three side-by-side ledges about 40 metres high. According to an old legend, three girls were in love with a young man. In order not to ruin their family and not to compete, they made a difficult decision - to jump into the river from the cliff. Whatever the actual situation, there is a beautiful panoramic view of the village of Kuryi, and 200 meters away there is another interesting place - the rock "Devil's Chair".

Be sure to wear closed shoes that do not slip. And clothes that are comfortable for climbing up.

Another picturesque place with a panoramic view of the river and the village. The slopes of the cliff are covered with a pine forest. This place is a protected natural area, please do not leave garbage and do not make a fire.

Leave your car in the free parking lot and go for an evening stroll through the historic part of Kamyshlov.

Start your acquaintance with Kamyshlov with the city's calling card - the white-stone Holy Protection Cathedral. The first church appeared at the end of the XVII century, when the governor of Verkhotursk district issued a decree to build Kamyshevskaya Sloboda on the bank of Pyshma. The white stone building was built at the beginning of the XIX century.
You can see the cathedral any day. If you want to go inside, do not forget the recommended clothing: for women - skirt and headgear, for men - clothes covering elbows and knees.

For dinner, stop by Cafe Pizzaritsa. Its menu includes not only pizza, but also desserts, rolls, salads, second courses. Prices are affordable, the cafe is open from 10am to 11pm daily.

The local library is named after Pavel Bazhov for a reason: several years of the writer's life were spent in Kamyshlov. After his marriage to a native of Kamyshlov district, Pavel worked as a teacher of Russian language.
After the revolution, he actively began to engage in social work, was elected to the Council of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies, was a member of the Revolutionary Committee. Later he joined the Bolsheviks and became editor of the newspaper "Izvestiya Kamyshlov District Committee of Peasants', Soldiers' and Workers' Deputies.
