The Surf Capital: Taghazout

Leave the city early in the morning and head to the first surf spot out of town: Tamraght. You'll start your day in the water to enjoy the waves of the morning.

As you just arrived in Tamraght, head to Aloha Surf Camp, where locals will welcome you for a two-hour surf course. Make sure to book it in advance. They also rent surfboards if you are experienced enough and don't need to take a lesson.

After your first experience in the Moroccan waves, head to the surfing capital of southern Morocco: Taghazout.
You won't need your car in the town, so park it at the Ufella car park before heading out onto the streets. You won't need your car in the town, so park it at the Ufella Parking before heading to its streets.

After the surf, get a rest at Café Surf Berbère. The location is amazing: you'll have moroccan food like tajine or couscous, facing the ocean, seating on big cushions. This is definitely one of the best places to have a post-surf lunch and break in Thaghazout.

Take the time to discover the Corniche of Taghazout when having a walk along the coast. Loose yourself in its corner streets and discover hidden spots of the town.

Head back to the parking to grab your car, as you'll then head to the Golf of Taghazout which is a bit upper in the mountains.

Situated on a cliff 80 m above sea level, the Tazegzout course offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the region's distinctive argan forests from every hole on the course and from the clubhouse terrace.

Watch the sunset at one of the unique's skatepark of the world: Taghazout SkatePark.
It overlooks the bay and offers a unique view of the ocean, the mountains and the coast. Watch the skateboarders, take time to appreciate the tricks they do and the changing colours of the sky.

For dinner, head to the Restaurant Pieds dans l'Eau, where you'll be able to have moroccan food on the beach, facing the ocean. We highly recommend having seafood at this restaurant, they work with local fishermen and the fish is excellent.

Located in Tamri, Boilers Surf House offers beachfront accommodation, a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. You'll sleep in a surf hostel, in the middle of nowhere. You'll have the opportunity to fall asleep listening to the waves, and will be served a continental breakfast in the morning.
