From Varenna to Lecco

You can go on this hike up the castle of Vezio, it will take you 40 minutes to 1 hour, and it is quite steep. From there you will get spectacular panoramic views over the lake. If you don't feel fit enough for this, you can just enjoy the beauty of the village down on the lakeside and have a coffee or an ice cream. The castle is a 13th century medieval construction with watchtowers.

Villa Monastero is beautifully located on the lakeside. The gardens offer spectacular views on the lake with elegant balustrades, statues, trees and flowers. The villa in the middle of the garden was an ancient convent converted in villa in the 18th century, and you can visit 11 rooms amazingly decorated.

Go back to the ferry station walking along the lakeside to take the ferry back to Bellagio.

Once you get to Bellagio, you can pick up your car on the parking lot or at the hotel where you left it and go for the next stop driving.

The basilica of Saint Nicholas is the main architectural masterpiece of Lecco. It is also beautiful inside with great paintings.
You can also visit the bell tower but unfortunately, it is only open on Sundays and you have to book your visit in advance on their website.
