Lac de Pannecières
The lake of Pannecière is the largest of Burgundy. Wilder than the Settons lake, it is very popular for fishing. It is an artificial lake, built with the aim to regulate the water of the Yonne river, which flows into the Seine, and avoid Paris flooding.

Château de Bazoches
Built in the 12th century, the imposing Bazoches castle is a Morvan must-see. The famous military architect Marshal Vauban lived here in the 17th century. Under the reign of Louis XIV, he carried out the studies and the plans of more than 300 structures and fortified towns in this castle.
Still owned by Vauban's descendants, the Bazoches castle offers a fascinating visit. You will be amazed by its rich furniture and the large collection of artefacts dedicated to his military achievements.

Vézelay Abbey
Listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the Basilica of Sainte-Madeleine is a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. You will have to walk up the hill to get there, but it is worth the effort! Furthermore, you will be crossing the picturesque medieval town of Vézelay.
