Museum of fairy tales and irons, arboretum, snowkiting.

In the village of Vasilevo, Yaroslavl region, there is a curious museum dedicated to fairy tales and Slavic mythology. Here you can meet life-size figures of fairytale characters, sculptures of Slavic gods, a hut on chicken legs, a cascading pond with a water mill and much more.
Entrance to the museum for adults costs 250 rubles, for children 4-14 years - 150 rubles. Interactive 1.5-hour excursions for the whole family are held in the museum according to a certain schedule, but you can always order an individual excursion. More details on site. Further the way lies to Pereslavl-Zalessky and its charming dendrosad S.F. Kharitonov. It's a wonderful place for quiet, secluded walks. Pavilions and benches, slender trees, playgrounds, figures of fairytale characters on the paths - a real eye-catcher and an ideal place for a small break.

In summer, Surf-Point School provides training in kitesurfing, windsurfing and SUP surfing on Pleshcheyevoi Lake, and in winter you can try snowkiting here.
Snowkiting is easier to learn than kitesurfing. The skiing season usually starts in the middle of December - as soon as it snows and the wind blows. You can try this sport from 9-10 years old (child's weight from 25 kg). It lasts as long as you like (1-1.5 hours on average).
After skiing you can have tea and warm up in the cosy kitchen. Snowkiting training costs from 2000 rubles per hour (follow the promotions!). From Monday to Friday the center works from 10:00 to 20:00, on weekends it opens an hour earlier. Look for details here.

After an outdoor lesson, head to the Iron Museum to explore unusual exhibits. The museum is small and all the exhibits fit in one room, but the fun excursion will delight adults and children alike.
After the excursion it is possible to be photographed and to touch all exhibit, and also to play with the guide in a funny game "the truth is not true". The staff definitely know how to cheer up visitors - and especially children.
In winter the museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, but it is possible to arrange an individual tour on other weekdays by phone 8 (485) 353-25-83.
