Balgonie Castle is a private house, however, it can be easily viewed from layby next to it. This thirteenth century tower and outbuildings is said to be haunted by many ghosts, but it was to take the guise of the home of MacRannoch during season 1. The hall and courtyard were used for filming.

Ravenscraig Castle

Aberdour Castle and Gardens
