Jalmar Krusel is the illegitimate son of Alfred Nobel, mistakenly referred to as Nobel's son-in-law. He was one of the managers of the family oil production company BraNobel.
His villa was renovated after the war, all the historic interiors were replaced, and a red brick veranda appeared. The grounds housed the Stroitel vacation home. New buildings of the sanatorium were to be built on the territory of the villa, but it never happened.
Nowadays the Krusel estate is abandoned, and the entrance to it is free.

Cafe Lapland is an excellent, inexpensive and comfortable cafe. Here you will be cooked real homemade food. Many visitors especially like the borscht and stuffed cabbage rolls.

Varyazhsky Dvor is an open-air historical and ethnographic museum, reconstructed as a life-size fortress of the Baltic Slavs-Venedes of the early Middle Ages of the 8th - 12th centuries. The museum operates regularly, to make an appointment for a tour, please contact the administrators via official website.

Take a short walk around Stone Lake. It has a glacial, ancient origins and the scenery here is truly inspiring and soothing.
