Royal Alcázar of Seville
The Royal Alcázar of Seville, historically known as al-Qasr al-Muriq. Now commonly known as the Alcázar of Seville, the royal palace was built in 913 AD by the Caliph of Córdoba, Abdurrahman III an-Nasir after ordering extensions on a pre-existing Roman building. This complex is a great reflection of how Islamic and Christian architecture has produced a beautiful and very unique historical landmark worthy of being called a World Heritage Site. It was listed by UNESCO in the year of 1987.
One of the many highlights of the Alcázar is the lush gardens that are home to beautiful and fragrant flowers, which make for an all-around unforgettable experience. It is the oldest royal palace still made use in Europe. On the top floors of the Alcázar, Spain's Royal family stays in the private apartments whenever they visit the Andalusian city.

Parque de María Luisa
Parque de María Luisa (María Luisa Park) is a famous and beautiful public park that sits along the Guadalquivir River. It's Seville's 2nd largest green space and is the city's most visited park. In 1893, ninety-one acres of land were donated by the Infanta Maria Luisa Fernanda de Borbon, the Duchess of Montpensier, to the city of Seville. It was formerly the private gardens of the Palace of San Telmo. Over 20 years later, the park was then opened to the public in 1914.
Within the park, you will see the grand Plaza de Espana, a beautiful and very popular landmark that was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Its architectural style is a mix of various elements of the Baroque, Renaissance, and Moorish Revival.
The beautiful park along with the Plaza is a lovely place to enjoy some peace and relaxation after a day of touring famous monuments. It has fountains, sculptures, and monuments as well as lush flora.
