Let's visit another unique monument. Nowadays the Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya Church is a cultural heritage site of Russia and is included in the UNESCO list. The temple was erected in 1374, its value lies in frescoes, which belong to the famous icon painter Theophanes the Greek. They have been preserved in excellent condition and have no analogues in the world.

One more interesting monument of the XII century. Rescued on Nereditsa was laid in 1198 by Prince Yaroslav Vladimirovich in memory of his deceased sons. The church kept unique frescoes, which had no analogues in the world before the Great Patriotic War. In 1941 the church was completely destroyed. Now the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa has been restored and here you can see some surviving fragments of frescoes.

The museum is located on the territory of the Tithe Monastery, an architectural monument of the XIV century. The museum presents works of art by Novgorod artists of the end of XX - beginning of XXI centuries.
