Museum of K.G. Paustovsky and the house of Marina Tsvetaeva

The only Russian Konstantin Paustovsky Memorial Museum in Tarus was opened not so long ago, in 2012. The small and cozy house has preserved the atmosphere of the middle of the last century. And in the garden you can see Paustovsky's favorite gazebo overlooking the Taruska River. The museum is open from Friday to Sunday. It can only be accessed by e-ticket for a specific session. Sessions: 11:00,13:00,15:00,17:00.

The monument to Marina Tsvetaeva in a quiet, beautiful place on the river bank. The poetess spent her childhood in Tarusa and remembered those times with warmth. They say that a rainbow appeared in the sky at the opening ceremony of the monument in 2006.

The museum is located in the "House of Thio". Thio is the nickname that Marina and Anastasia Tsvetaeva gave to their grandfather's second wife. As a child, sisters used to come here in winter and often visited in summer. Personal belongings, books with autographs, furniture from the house in Trikhprudny Lane have been preserved in the museum. The museum often hosts festive events related to the work of Marina Tsvetaeva. It's better to visit the House of Tsvetaev with a tour. You can make an appointment by phone: 8 (484-35) 2-51-92. The sculpture dedicated to tea drinking appeared in Tula not long ago, in 2014. Warm and cozy, it combines the main symbols of the city: samovar, Tula gingerbread, harmonica.

In the XIX century Kazanskaya embankment was part of the Kremlin garden and was very popular among citizens. In the 20s of XX century, after the First World War, the embankment began to belong to the Tula arms factory and slowly came into disrepair. A hundred years later it was decided to be restored, and now the Tula embankment is a fashionable modern space. The quay is divided into three zones:

• gingerbread with cafes, arbours and restaurants;

• concert - with swings, art objects and a festive stage;

• a children's room with bars, slides and table tennis.

From the Kazan embankment you can get to Metalist pedestrian street, which is part of the museum quarter.
