USSR Park in Tutaev, "HES-14" micro-district and "Soviet era" museum in Rybinsk

Let's start our nostalgic trip to the Soviet Period Park (or simply USSR Park) in Tutaev.
Along the walkway there are a lot of sculptures and things from the Soviet era. Just look at the sculptures of the Soviet pioneers, which used to decorate the pioneer camps!
You can also see Soviet cars produced in the 1940s-1980s.

On the outskirts of Rybinsk you can find the ruins of Sofia Nunnery, founded in 1860. Most of the buildings have been turned into ruins, and in the preserved part of the churches there is a detention center.

For lunch we'll visit a cozy gastropub "SupVeggu". Here we try cod cutlets, steaks, fishing soup from different fish species. The bar menu boasts an excellent selection of non-tea drinks (e.g. raspberry cocoa and chicory on soy milk) and homemade teas.

The settlement of power engineers of HPP-14 grew together with Rybinskaya HPP - in just one summer. And not barracks were built here, but original houses with columns and attic windows - for the Soviet engineering elite. The most beautiful ones can be found on the section between Moiseenko and Goncharova Streets and Vyazemsky Street perpendicular to them.
Time at HPP-14 seems to have stopped: no new buildings, supermarkets or parking lots. Old houses stand neat "boxes", flowerbeds in front of houses, along the streets - poles of those years with original plinths.

Let's continue our nostalgia at the "Soviet Era" museum(https://vk.com/sov.epoha).
Here you will see the usual attributes of an Octobrat and a pioneer, visit an old cinema hall with creaking chairs, try on the role of a resident of a communal apartment with its unique coloring. You can also visit the party worker's office and the canteen.
You can get into the museum and take a tour only by calling group.

For dinner we'll have a look at the recreation center "Chudny Dvor" (be sure to call there before arrival, cafe hall is sometimes booked for events). And after it is possible here to steam in a Russian bath to take off weariness after long day and moving (a bath too it is better to order in advance).
