Zosimov Desert is located near Naro-Fominsk. The monastery was founded by St. Zosima in 1826, and until 1918 the convent was a haven for the Orthodox.
Nowadays you can see such sanctuaries as the Church of St. John the Baptist at the ancient manor house of Atheneevo. And immediately visit the famous and mysterious house with toys, located near the Desert.

The estate was founded in the second half of the XVII century by the boyar F.M. Rtishchev-Bolshiy and belonged to his family until 1780s, then to I.P. Musin-Pushkin. It was there that the main three-storey house and the two-storey outbuilding were erected.
We go on a tour of the restored estate, and then, sitting on the bench, we will be refreshed with pre-purchased delicacies from the pizzeria.
Please note, the estate is closed on weekends.

We have a rather busy journey, so the evening of the second day I suggest to spend in a quiet atmosphere, walking along the lake shore.
