Start your acquaintance with Zelenogradsk from its calling card, the town square. Explore the old buildings and treat yourself to a cup of coffee at one of the small local coffee houses.

It is believed that the first tree in the park was personally planted by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia during a visit to the city in 1843, as a tribute to his mother Queen Louise. The tree grows in the park to this day, and to make it easier for tourists to find it, a memorial sign has been erected nearby.

Another water tower that has become a symbol of the city. It is also known as the Krantz Tower, which was the name of Zelenogradsk until 1946.
At eleven o'clock in the morning the observation deck on the upper level of the tower opens, you do not have to walk up ornate stairs to get to it: there is an elevator inside.
Also, there are cats living in the tower! Yes, there's also a museum of the fluffy stuffed animals, so don't hesitate to look inside.

If you have already enjoyed the views of the city from the water tower and the cat museum, it is time to take a little stroll. Purring Zelenogradsk is rightfully considered the capital of cats, they are everywhere - walking imposingly on the sidewalks, looking you in the eyes in cafes, drawn on the walls of houses and even have a monument to them.

The House of Angels is a private art collection with over 1,500 exhibits. The exhibits include futuristic installations, street sculptures, one-of-a-kind figurines, and handmade soft toys.

For lunch we recommend stopping at the restaurant complex "A House in the Country". In fact, it is a whole farmstead with fairy-tale houses, fountains and a mill - a great location for a small photo session.

The St. Barbara's Kirche was built in Povunden in 1324. In 1862, as a result of the restoration, the room was noticeably enlarged - a tower with a spire was added, and in 1882-1883 an organ was installed.
In the middle of the 00's, a layer of plaster fell off in the Kirche, under which an ancient fresco of unimaginable beauty was concealed. Experts have determined that the fresco can be dated from the middle of the 14th century. Get in touch with history and explore the place!
Today only a small part of the former splendor is preserved, but even walking through the ruins, you can feel the energy of this place.

The atmosphere of the castle disposes to knightly activities: walks through the historic part, trying on various costumes of the medieval era, watching the real tournament, climbing the rope ladder, archery, javelin throwing.

Nearby there is a cheese dairy, where you can see the equipment in operation and the ripening heads of cheese in storage. In the store you can buy different kinds of cheeses. There is also a large selection of locally produced chocolates, marzipan, sweets for every taste and color.
