Museum "Birth of a fairy tale" is a collection of images of Slavic mythology and fairy tales. Each exhibit here has its own character and presentation.
Please note that the museum is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Mondays the museum is closed.

The monastery was founded in the XIV century, and in 1557. In honor of the birth of Feodor's son, Tsar Ivan the Terrible ordered the construction of a church in the Feodorovsky monastery. This church has been preserved to this day and is the main cathedral of the monastery.

There is one legend connected with Goritsky monastery. Two years after the defeat in the Battle of Kulikovo, the Tatars led by Khan Tohtamysh invaded Russia again. Before the Tatar invasion, the Grand Duchess Evdokia (wife of Dmitry Donskoy) came to the Goritsky Monastery to pray, and the monks and retinue put her on a raft to save her and he hid behind the thick fog in the middle of Lake Plescheyevo. 10 years later, remembering her miraculous rescue, the Princess restored the Goritsky Monastery destroyed by the Tatars. Since that time in Pereslavl-Zalesskiy on the sixth Sunday after Easter from Goritsky monastery a procession by boats along the Pleshcheevo lake was organized.

Pereslavl State Historical and Architectural Museum Reserve is one of the largest provincial state museums of Russia. Here you can see objects of religious and worldly art taken from monasteries and bar estates of Pereslavl land.
The museum especially appreciates the unique seal of the Patriarch of Constantinople Afanasiy I, created in the beginning of XIV century.

The largest building of the monastery - the Assumption Cathedral was built in the second half of the fifties of the XVIII century.

Alekandr Nevskiy's museum is situated in Pereslavl Zalessky not by chance, because this town is the birthplace of the Grand Duke. In the museum you will learn more about this prince and his time.

Museum of the "Merry Flotilla" of Peter the Great. It was on the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo that Peter studied working at the shipyard (as a simple carpenter) and created his "funny" fleet of several quite serious and even large ships.
Unfortunately, in 1783 there was a fire and most of the flotilla burned down, only the Fortuna bot survived. On August 1, 1803, the bot was solemnly moved to a new building and a museum was opened - the House of Bothny.
Please be careful - the museum is closed on Mondays.

In the complex "Popov Meadow" there is a farm, an inn, an equestrian sports club and a branded shop. In the shop you can try farm meat, dairy and vegetable products.
You can have lunch at the "Pop Meadow" tavern. In the tavern everything: architecture, interior, food and their delivery - will plunge you into the atmosphere of Russia. The dishes are prepared according to ancient Russian recipes, many of them in the oven or in the cauldron.

The monastery was built in the XVI century by a monk Daniel - the confessor of Grand Duke Basil III. Later, the elder Daniel became the godfather of the successor of the Grand Duke - the future Ivan the Terrible.

The museum is located in old unique buildings of embroidery factory "New World". Here you can find a unique collection of sewing machines of the XIX-XX centuries.

The monastery was founded in 1348 on a place called "The Swamp". The first church was erected in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
At the end of XVII century Korsun cross was brought to the monastery - nowadays it is the main sanctuary of the monastery.
