    Turning Point of Long Branch

Try to begin your day as early as possible, because today you have ambitious plans.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at this seaside café, which opens at 7:30 every day. If you're early enough, you can sip your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the ocean.

    Twin Lights State Historic Site

Twin Lights is a very beautiful and powerful two-headed lighthouse. It also left its mark on the history of the United States, as the place where the Pledge of Allegiance was first officially spoken in 1893. Also, in 1899, it was here that Guglielmo Marconi set up his first wireless telegraph.
You can enjoy a walk around the grounds and climb the lighthouse to get a closer look at the lens mechanism.
From Wednesday to Saturday, you can book a tour of the lighthouse by calling +1 (732) 872-1814. You should call at least three days in advance because the lighthouse is quite popular.
The lighthouse is closed on Mondays, but you can still enjoy the exterior and the grounds.

    Holmdel Horn Antenna (Obsolete)

The Holmdel Horn Antenna will definitely appeal to those interested in science because it was with this antenna that physicists Penzias and Wilson obtained conclusive evidence for the Big Bang Theory and the expanding universe. As a result of this discovery, they were awarded the Nobel Prize in 1978.
The antenna is located on the premises of the Alcatel-Lucent Research Laboratory and is only open during weekday business hours. Access is not available on Saturday and Sunday. If you travel during the weekend, head to the next attraction right after the double-headed lighthouse.

    Hindenburg Crash Site

The Hindenburg crash was a major event in American aeronautical history. During the early part of the 20th century, the sky belonged to dirigibles. However, in 1937, the era of dirigibles ended when a terrible catastrophe took place - lightning hit the Hindenburg and it collapsed in flames. In total, 35 people were killed, but most of the passengers and crew were saved.
Later, the photographs and film of the accident were so tragic that within a short period of time the use of airships was eliminated as a mode of aviation travel. Soon after, airplanes became the primary mode of air travel. The memorial is a simple outline of where the blazing dirigible fell to the ground.

    Cathedral of the Air

Not far from the Hindenburg crash site is the Cathedral of the Air. Here you can enjoy some of the most unusual stained-glass windows. All of them are dedicated to the history of aeronautics.
People always looked at the sky with hope and envied the birds and, since ancient times, man has tried to get closer to the sun and clouds. The stained-glass windows of the cathedral tell the story of those aspirations. Here in stained glass are the stories of our ancestors' attempts to attach wings made from bird feathers to themselves, and the first balloons and airplanes of a new era when the cathedral was built in 1932. It's truly remarkable to find such beautiful stained-glass windows of the sky as you will at the Cathedral of the Air.

    Batsto Visitors Center

Here the whole city has been turned into a museum. Batsto was founded in 1766 as an iron-making industrial center. During the Revolutionary War, Batsto supplied the Continental Army with iron. However, over time, the metallurgical industry in Batsto died out and attempts to revive the city with new industries were unsuccessful. The last resident left the city in 1989.
More than 40 historic buildings have now been completely restored, and it looks as if the city has returned to life and produces iron as it did many years ago.

    Diggerland USA

And finally on the second day of your visit to New Jersey is Diggerland XL, a very unusual amusement park indeed! The park taps into the notion that every adult, deep down inside, is still a child. A child that remembers massive mustard yellow excavators and other earth-moving machines with great delight. Perhaps you wanted to control the levers of those roaring machines, and scoop up a huge bucket of earth and dump it on command.
Diggerland gives you a chance to experience it all - find yourself in the cab of a real excavator, manipulate an excavator bucket, drive a dump truck, and enjoy other many working attractions.
