National Picasso Museum
The Picasso Museum is located inside a monastery from the 12th century. You can admire the masterpiece of Picasso "War and Peace" inside the chapel of the monastery. There are also temporary exhibits regularly.

Musée Magnelli, Musée de la céramique
This Museum shows ceramics essentially. And on the second floor, you will see the paintings by Alberto Magnelli, one of the pioneers of abstraction. Every two years, you can attend the biennale of ceramics here.

Atelier Madoura
The Madoura workshop was created in 1938 by Suzanne and George Ramie. Picasso discovered it and was working here between 1947 and 1971. He created here all of his ceramics. Then a lot of artists came to work here like Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse amongst others. Nowadays you can admire pieces by Picasso and these artists that worked here along with pieces by Suzanne Ramie.

Vallauris is the town of ceramics and there are lots of ceramics workshops and shops around. You can go to the tourist office first to ask all the open hours of all the ceramics workshops but here are two suggestions. This gallery is a nice place to visit, and is an important place in the history of the city, with nice contemporary ceramics from famous artists.

This is another nice place to visit. And you can see the ceramists at work here. Nice shops to buy ceramics for your house or bring gifts back home.

After this visit of the village of Vallauris its ceramics and memories of Picasso, you can go to the beach in Golfe-Juan. Golfe-Juan is the sister town of Vallauris by the sea. You will enjoy a golden sand beach with quiet sea to go for a swim. After the beach you can walk along the Port to the restaurant and you will see a plate that commemorates that Napoleon was here in 1815, it is the beginning of the "Route Napoleon".
