Enjoying Vieste by Land and Sea

The castle of Vieste is an impressive construction located on the highest point of the town. So, it will give you good views of the area. It was built by Frederic II in 1242.

Walk through the narrow streets of the historical center of Vieste. Visit the cathedral, which is from the 11th century. Inside, there are beautiful paintings, swirling columns and a Latin inscribed altar.

While you walk through the beautiful town of Vieste don't miss this nice square for beautiful views of the town and the sea.

Visit this little museum, it showcases countless shells. Kids will love it, and the entrance is free. So, it's definitely worth stepping inside.

During your visit of Vieste, go until this point, the end of the land, for beautiful views. There is also a small church nearby.

Drive from Vieste to Peschici through the coastal scenic road. You can stop at any beach and viewpoint on the way. This one is a nice one amongst many others.

Al trabucco da Mimi is located on a beautiful part of the coastline of the Gargano Peninsula. The restaurant is housed in a trabucco which is a traditional wooden fishing platform, so just the location itself is quite an experience. Go there for sunset and enjoy a craft beer. You will eat the freshest seafood.

After a nice day enjoying the seaside, it's time to rest in this hotel in the beachfront. If you have more days in the Gargano, you can go to the Tremiti islands. It takes almost 2 hours to get there by boat from Peschici, so you can do a full-day tour to the islands or even better stay several days there.
