    Oregon Redwoods Trail

Oregon has a few groves of redwoods, and this is one of them. Walk a 1.7-mile loop through this forest and you’ll see many old-growth redwoods. They are smaller than the California redwoods, but worth a stop all the same. This is the northern range limit for redwoods, and visitors to Brookings will be awestruck by this magnificent tree. The trail itself is not wheelchair-accessible, though the visitor’s center at the trailhead is.

    Azalea Park

If you’ve spent a large part of today by the beach and want something a little different, stop by Azalea Park, Brookings’ large, multi-use greenspace. There’s a giant play structure for kids, and a bandshell where you can catch an outdoor concert. Horseshoe pits, sports facilities and a picnic area make it a perfect place for a summer afternoon.
