An ancient bridge in South Konevo across the Sinara River

    Open Details
This bridge is a little out of the way. It was built in 1899. Interestingly, the bridge was built on land, and when it was ready, they dug a canal and let the river Sinaru in a new channel.
Until the 50s of XX century the village of South Konevo was located around the bridge. But after the accident on the "Lighthouse" the inhabitants were resettled.
There is a large glade left from the village, overgrown with forest, a cemetery and ruins of a church.

    Большие Аллаки

    Open Details
Big Allaki is a picturesque lake, on the southeast coast of which there are rocks-rests of bizarre shape. They are spread out on a forestless hill, and can be seen from any point of the lake.
Near the rocks was a sanctuary of an ancient man. This is indicated by the rock paintings.
You can drive almost to the rocks by car. And there's only a bit left to walk.

    Mount Sumomak

    Open Details
The mountain is located in the vicinity of Kyshtym and is a local landmark.
On the way to the mountain there is the Sugomak cave. It is not very long with wide and high caves. No special equipment is required to visit it. Only for the passage to the second grotto - the Old Believers' grotto - and to the third - the Lake Cave you will need clothes, which are not sorely dirty in low passages between the grottoes.
From the cave to the mountain walk 2 km. In some places there are steep ascents, so if you are not sure of your abilities, you can go back to the car.
The top offers a panorama of the surrounding mountains and towns.

    Mica mine

    Open Details
The village of Sludorudnik is famous for its abandoned underground mines, which can be walked for hours. The development of the mines began in the 40s. Mica was mined in them.
Mica's mines have several entrances, and there are four levels inside. But be careful inside: in some places there are vertical tunnels connecting the levels with each other. And because of the abundance of branches, you can get lost here.

    Quay of Karabash pond

    Quay of Karabash pond

    Open Details
The embankment of Karabash pond was built quite recently. It overlooks the Karabashmed factory and the Karabash mountain behind it. The mountain is completely unforested due to acid rain that has been raining on it for over a hundred years.
You can leave the car in your pocket at the memorial of the Great Patriotic War in the street of the Liberation of the Urals and walk along the shore.
But the most contrasting view can be seen from the northern bank of the pond from Kuznetsova Street. There is no longer a well-appointed shore there, just growing trees, and behind them on the other bank of the lifeless desert.
