Provins, Musée De La Rose, and Château de Brie-Comte-Robert

The last day of the tour will take you to medieval Provins where you'll discover another impressive cathedral and you'll go up to the top of a 12th-century watchtower to take in the splendid views. After lunch in an authentic Provinois restaurant, you'll head to a Rose Museum. Then, you will visit the wonderfully-restored Château de Brie-Comte-Robert, where you will learn how a castle works on the inside.
And because it's difficult to say goodbye, I also recommended a really nice restaurant to have dinner at before reaching Paris.

The little medieval settlement of Provins is separated between Upper and Lower Towns, each of which offers a voyage back in time.
Some of the sites to visit include massive fortifications and intriguing underground caves. It's a stunning place to visit and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.

Saint Quiriace's construction began in the 12th century but it was never completed because the project was too ambitious compared to the funding during Philippe le Bel's reign.
The church's big dome was built in the 17th century, and the old, rich families of the Upper Town of Provins were referred to as the Children of the Dome at the time.
The Saint-Quiriace Collegiate Church is open every day between 10 am and 6 pm. Currently closed for renovations, the impressive building can be admired on the exterior.

Not far from the Saint-Quiriace Collegiate Church, you'll find the 12-century Caesar Keep, a watchtower with beautiful panoramic views over the surrounding landscape and the town below.
The Tour César is a reminder of the strength previously held by the Counts of Champagne and the town's rich medieval heritage.
The tower is inextricably linked to the area's occasionally violent past. During the Hundred Years' War, it served as a shelter, a lookout post, and even a jail.
Caesar Keep is open every day between 10 am and 6 pm. You can buy your ticket on the spot.

In the 12th century, Robert de Dreux, King Louis VII's brother, placed the foundation of the new town. Shortly after, the sware castle was raised, with towers surrounded by moats during the time.
After the siege during the Hundred Years' War, it was largely abandoned before becoming a designated historical site. To conserve the monument, volunteers began restoration work. This repair effort, as well as different archaeological digs, is an ongoing effort to this day.
The visit and tour are free of charge. During the guided visit, you will learn how a castle works. Volunteers will lead you to an archaeological display that showcases the castle's history over the centuries, using a variety of historical artifacts and documents.
The Château de Brie-Comte-Robert is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. On Wednesdays, it is open between 2 and 5 pm, on Saturdays between 2.30 and 6 pm, and on Sundays between 10 am and 12. 30 pm and between 2.30 and 6 pm.
