Getting to Know the Sun King and Louis the Last
You'll begin your three-day trip from Paris with a stop in Versailles, where you'll get the choice between visiting the Palais de Versailles and the Petit Trianon. After a short lunch, you'll continue to Rambouillet, where you can either visit the castle and walk through its park or head out for a walk in the nearby forest.

Day 2

Maintenon, Chartres, and Château de Vaux le Vicomte
After a good rest, you'll go to Maintenon in the first part of the day. After a short walk through town, you get to visit the Château de Maintenon and learn the story of King Louis XIV's secret second wife. Then, you will move on to Chartres, whose famous cathedral you'll see from a distance.
And the last stop for the day will take you to Château de Vaux le Vicomte, the castle that inspired the Palais de Versailles.

Provins, Musée De La Rose, and Château de Brie-Comte-Robert
The last day of the tour will take you to medieval Provins where you'll discover another impressive cathedral and you'll go up to the top of a 12th-century watchtower to take in the splendid views. After lunch in an authentic Provinois restaurant, you'll head to a Rose Museum. Then, you will visit the wonderfully-restored Château de Brie-Comte-Robert, where you will learn how a castle works on the inside.
And because it's difficult to say goodbye, I also recommended a really nice restaurant to have dinner at before reaching Paris.
