"Gates to the Meshchera" or resort village - it's a small village 27 km from Ryazan, where the Museum of I.P. Pozhalostin is located.

Solotchinsky monastery is a baroque gem surrounded by pristine nature.
The monastery was founded by order of Prince Oleg of Ryazan, and here he took monastic orders at the end of his life. For a long time the monastery fulfilled not only religious but also defensive function, as evidenced by the ancient fortress walls.
Unfortunately, the original temple buildings have not survived to this day, but you will have the opportunity to examine the beautiful examples of architecture of the XVII century. And the tiles of the gate church were made by Stepan Ivanov-Polubes, the same master who worked on the decoration of the New Jerusalem monastery.

The museum is dedicated to the last master of the classical engraving school. It is also famous for the fact that K.G. Paustovsky lived here for a long time.
Inside you can get acquainted with the interiors of a peasant hut and a nobleman's estate. We recommend to take a tour.

The town of Spas Klepiki has been known since the 16th century as the village of Klepikovo on the Kasimov road, which was part of the Staroryazan camp in the Ryazan (Pereyaslav-Ryazan) county. The name "Klepikovo" comes from the ancient name of a knife for cleaning fish - "klepik". After the opening of the Transfiguration church the village gets the second name - Spasskoye. At the beginning of XX century the names were united.

Of particular interest are the early poems, documents and photographs about the beginning of Sergei Yesenin's creative career. Also do not forget to sit at the desk, which was trained as a young poet.
