Exploring the East Coast of Garda Lake

Drive to the small town of Malcesine. You can park your car here and explore on foot.

The port of Malcesine is nice to walk around with nice views on the lake and the boats.

The castle of Malcesine is from the 10th century, it stands out in the lake and it is so picturesque from the beachside. Visiting inside also gives amazing views of the coast across the lake. And there are interesting exhibits inside as well.

Vecchia Malcesine is a great restaurant with a Michelin starred menu. You will also get great views on the lake. Book your table on their website.

Take this cable car to enjoy 360 degrees views of the lake and surroundings mountains. The view at the top is of course amazing. If you have more time, there are also hiking trails from here.

Punta San Vigilio is a headland that comes into the lake. It is a great viewpoint. It is located 3 kilometers north of Garda, the small town that gave its name to the lake.

This wine museum shows the history of wine, historical tools, etc. It is located within the Zeni Winery, a family wine production. And after your visit of the museum, you can do wine tasting for free. And of course, you can buy your favorite bottles.

Walk around the historical center of Bardolino which is very nice with its port. The lakeside is also pleasant and there is a small beach if you want to enjoy a swim there.

Before dinner, walk around the small port of the beautiful colorful village of Lazise and enjoy the sunset there. Then have dinner at this very renowned restaurant. Seafood dinner with local wine and lake views sounds pretty good. It is better to book your table on their website.
