The heart of Veliky Novgorod

It was decided to start the day in a cozy cafe "Dom koromylom", the interior of which fully reproduces the atmosphere of the old Russian taverns. The menu here is quite extensive, but our choice was pancakes and monastery-style porridge.
The cafe is open from Monday to Saturday.

One of the most important cultural monuments in Veliky Novgorod is the Museum of Fine Arts, located near the Kremlin. There is an extensive collection of objects by many Russian and foreign artists of the XVIII-XX centuries.
The sections of the exposition are very diverse, there are graphics, sculpture, portrait and landscape painting and much more.

On the southern outskirts of Veliky Novgorod is the Vitoslavlitsy Museum - one of the most interesting and detailed exhibition complexes, which tells about the life, lifestyle, holidays and customs of our ancestors.
Its exposition is divided into several thematic zones, each of which has its own interesting features: you can learn a craft and feed goats.

After the tour, so as not to go far, we went to a cozy cafe "Telegraph", located on Ludogoszcz Street. The atmosphere here is very relaxing and comfortable. Of the things we liked on the menu, we should mention the beef lagman and the chukka salad.

The Vladychnaya Chambers is one of the unique structures of Veliky Novgorod, made in the European Gothic style. Here excursions are held that acquaint visitors with the history, as well as with the jewelry business that once flourished in these places. Tourists are offered to examine in detail the works of the best Byzantine, European and Old Russian jewelers.
The museum is closed on Monday.

The rest of the evening you can devote to a walk in Kremlin Park. There are quite a few unique objects worth seeing here. Among them are the monument to the great Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, the St. Sophia Bell Tower, and, of course, the monument "Millennium of Russia".

The restaurant complex "Fregat Flagship" is a unique establishment, located literally on board the ship. The interior is arranged in the appropriate style. The menu is also very original and has a lot of game and fish delicacies to choose from, as well as a large selection of Japanese and Asian dishes.

Our tour of Veliky Novgorod is gradually coming to a close. Now it's time to go to rest, because tomorrow we will have a rather long trip back to St. Petersburg.
