Historical beauties of Pskov

We have a lot of interesting discoveries ahead of us, so without wasting time, we head to a small tavern called "Sokolikha" for breakfast. The interior of the place is made in the style of old Russian, pre-revolutionary taverns. After taking a few portions of kebab and salad, as well as a couple of glasses of morses, we went to explore the city.

In Pskov, as in many other historical cities of Russia, in the center there is a huge fortress or, as it is also called, the Pskov Kremlin (krom).
Its walls and towers were built in the early twelfth century, on the territory of the fortress are located the Trinity Cathedral, the court chambers, additional fortifications and much more.

Another symbol of Pskov and its history is the Poganka Chambers Museum. Once its building belonged to a famous merchant dynasty, then its purpose was changed several times, and at the beginning of the twentieth century, an archaeological museum was opened here. Now there is a historical exposition, as well as an artistic one.

After the tour we went to the restaurant "Trapeznye Chambers" for lunch. Its interior, which, rather, I would like to call a decoration, is made in the old Russian traditions.
The menu here consists mainly of Russian dishes, but there are also some popular European delicacies.

The Gremyachaya Tower is an interesting historical construction in Pskov. It was built in the early sixteenth century and served as an important defensive point of the city.
Many legends and mystical stories are connected with it. There are ghosts of rulers, sleeping beauties waiting for their betrothed and much more.

After the tour of the historical sites, you can go for a walk, because we found ourselves near one of the most picturesque places in Pskov - Kuopio Park, also known as the Finnish Park. Walkers will find here quite a lot of greenery, as well as the opportunity to rent a bicycle or scooter in the summer and skates, sleds and skis in the winter.

There's a gas station coming up. If you're tired, make a comfortable stop - stop for coffee!

After a long walk, in the evening we went to Mojo Gastrobar. The interior of the place is cozy on the whole, there is an opportunity to dine outdoors on the terrace. The fish dishes are quite good here, for example, we liked the salmon steak as well as scallops with asparagus and garlic sauce.

Today we managed to do everything we had planned. The acquaintance with Pskov was unforgettable, and now it's time to go to bed, because tomorrow we have to leave this city and go to Veliky Novgorod.
